Singer-songwriter Debra Davis and her band performed at our home on April 13, 2002

DEBRA DAVIS is an inventive artist whose CDs are filled with literate pop/rock music that hits deep. She has a huge following of fans who call themselves "Debheads." Her songs have been featured on "Dawson's Creek," "Any Day Now," "Beyond Chance" (Lifetime) and "Grapevine" (CBS), to name a few. The TNN special "Angel Encounters" recently featured Debra and her music, and she has four songs in a new film called "All You Need" (Porchlight Entertainment) starring Kellie Martin ("E.R.").

Debra's two CDs are produced by Dave Beyer (drummer for Melissa Etheridge), with 3 songs co-produced by Mark Cross (Sheryl Crow/Shelby Lynne). The CDs are nationally distributed and songs from both CDs are getting airplay across the country, and are in syndication in retail store audio systems and on major airlines. The music video to her song "Moon Upon My Shoulder" is syndicated in Nordstrom and Sears stores junior departments nationwide. Her song "Enemy" will be on the compilation CD to accompany the book "Fearless Living" (Putnam) by Rhonda Britten, a favorite Oprah author. And "Angels in the Attic" is being featured on the "It's About Eve" compilation CD to benefit the National Breast Cancer Coalition. Debra is a founding member of the Music Heals Foundation, hosting concerts to raise funds and awareness for charities.

Debra's youngest fans inspired the Debra Davis Angel Story contest, co-sponsored by the national literacy program, RIF (Reading Is Fundamental). The touching, funny children's stories are published in the book, "An Angel in My Life," which comes with a CD single. Debra and her band of gold are powerfully fun live, and tour playing festivals, record stores like Borders Books & Music (where she is a best-selling performer), clubs, TV and radio dates; and have opened for artists like Collective Soul, Steve Earle and Vonda Shepard.

On Saturday, April 13, 2002, Debra Davis and her band rocked the house and simply blew everyone away. People were raving about her set for weeks after the show!! Her band included Nick Kirgo on guitar and Dave Beyer on drums. Debra is headed for the big time and in a few years no one will ever believe that you saw her right here are Russ & Julie's House Concerts! Be sure to visit her Web site at www.debradavis.com
