On Saturday, January 22, 2005 we hosted a House Concert for Jonathan Pointer.

JONATHAN POINTER is a singer-songwriter who produces haunting portraits of love, self-doubt, and the passage time, all delivered with a wit, wisdom, and sense of craft and focus that sets him apart from the usual pack of singer/songwriters.

Musically, he runs in the same circles as Tom Waits and Randy Newman. He also sites Elvis Costello and Richard Thompson as major influences. Pointer's music is an eclectic mix of country, jazz, folk and rock. His CDs have earned rave reviews in The Washington Post, Acoustic Guitar, Performing Songwriter, and Dirty Linen magazines.

For our House Concert here, Jonathan played a very warm and heartfelt set of his wonderful songs. Our audience found his songs to be captivating. Be sure to visit Jonathan Pointer's website at: www.jonathanpointer.com
