JACKSON BROWNE
Fan Letters & Reviews

February 2010

FROM YOUR WEBMASTER:

Dear Friends,

Over the years, many of you have purchased tickets to benefit concerts and supported other charities that Jackson Browne has championed through the years. This is one that is particularly close to Jackson... and to me.

The new CD Keep the Light Alive: Celebrating the Music of Lowen & Navarro is now shipping. It's really wonderful and I strongly recommend it.

Recording artists of all stripes are banding together in support of renowned singer songwriter Eric Lowen of the duo Lowen & Navarro and organizations united in the fight against ALS (Lou Gherig's Disease). Award-winning songwriter, Eric Lowen, was diagnosed with ALS over six years ago. Setting an example for us all, Eric has continued to work tirelessly on his music, recording, writing and until recently, even performing.

Now Eric's friends and peers have united to pay tribute to Eric and others who suffer from this life taking disease. Friends who have lent their voices and respect not just of the music but also the man, are: Jackson Browne, John Ondrasik (of Five For Fighting), Keb' Mo', The Bangles, Severin Browne, Joel Rafael, Andy Chase, The Refugees, Freebo, Eddie from Ohio, Phil Parlapiano, Charlie Wadhams and Stonehoney.

TRACK LIST of the Tribute CD:
Jackson Browne -- Weight of the World
John Ondrasik (of Five for Fighting) -- Keep the Light Alive
Keb' Mo' -- If You Loved Me Like That
The Bangles -- We Belong
Severin Browne -- Open Your Heart
Joel Rafael -- Old Riverside
Andy Chase -- You Stay On My Mind
The Refugees with Kenny Edwards -- Compass Point
Freebo -- I Don't Believe in Yesterday
Eddie from Ohio -- Just to See You
Phil Parlapiano -- Opposite of Everything
Charlie Wadhams -- Cold Outside
Stonehoney -- If I Was the Rain

Kevin McCormick (from Jackson's band) is one of the producers and primary forces behind this collection.

Jackson's track has his brother Severin singing harmony vocals, Jeff Young on keyboards, Mark Goldenberg on electric guitar, Mauricio Lewak on drums, Greg Leisz on acoustic guitar, Kevin McCormick on bass, and was mixed and engineered by Paul Dieter. (Believe me, if you are a Jackson Browne fan, you will LOVE this track.) Mark, Kevin and James Raymond all appear on the Keb' Mo' track. Severin's track includes Craig Doerge on piano, Mark Goldenberg on guitar, Freebo on bass and background vocals by Debbie Pearl and Jaynee Thorne. Freebo's track includes Eliza Gilkyson on harmony and duet vocals! GREAT stuff all around.

I've been very blessed in my life to know Eric Lowen and Dan Navarro. Lowen & Navarro are one of my very favorite bands over the past 20 years or so. Eric is one of the nicest people I know and his humor, positive attitude and approach while struggling against this terrible disease have been nothing short of heroic. I'm so glad that Jackson Browne and the others involved have come together to show their support for Eric. Please purchase Keep the Light Alive: Celebrating the Music of Lowen & Navarro. The music is great and the money goes to the best of causes.

PLEASE take the time go to the website and order at least one copy of this CD today. And help spread the word!

Thank you.
